One of my first projects as a doctorial student was a case study for the Substance Abuse Casebook (Johnson & Grant, 2004).  From this first work, I completed two additional case studies.

Project Summary

As is the case with most editorial processes, things change.  Below are the original titles of the chapters:

· The case of Oliver: Presenting complaints sometimes hide underlying alcoholism

 

· The case of Mary: A dually diagnosed client with a history of abuse

 

· The case of Austin: Past treatment initiatives prepared him to succeed in current treatment
