The following are projects I am currently working on.  Feel free to look around and see what I’m doing.

Text Box: We have completed a number of projects exploring how the use of controlling behaviors relates to other aspects of domestic violence. The links we have explored include dangerousness, abuse of pets and use of the sex industry. Please follow this link for more details on the work we are doing in this area.
Text Box: Women’s use of violence is an interesting field of research that has received surprisingly minimal attention in the published literature. Areas that that we have explored include diagnostic issues, attitudes toward violence, trauma history, parenting, and substance use. Please follow this link for more details on the work we are doing in this area.
Text Box: Even though social workers have served in the armed forces since the 1940s, very little is written describing their experiences. While deployed, I completed a qualitative phenomenological study on this unique population. Please follow this link for more details on the work I have done in this area.
Text Box: Violent crimes including assault, robbery, and homicide often have devastating effects on those who are affected. To this end, I’m working on a few projects exploring gender issues in recovery and service utilization. Please follow this link for more details on the work I am doing in this area.
Text Box: As one of my first projects as a doctorial student, I wrote a case study for a text book. Since that time I have written two more such manuscripts. Please follow this link for more details on the work I have done in this area.
